hen you hear the term “healthy living,” what springs to your mind? Most people mention a healthy diet, weight management, exercise, and, indeed, these are very important aspects of healthy living. Equally important, however, are our thoughts and feelings which filter how we experience life. Then there are our relationships, our daily activities, and our connection to the larger world. Each month on this site you will find a new column exploring one of these facets of a healthy life. You can also look at all my past columns or get on my mailing list and receive the Ten Keys to Healthy Living booklet by pressing the tab below.
My first book Choosing to Be Well began with the question “Why don’t we do all that we know we should for our health?” The answer to this question and strategies to overcome your own blocks to better health can be found in my book which is available to purchase as a PDF. My second book resulted from the question, “How can we lose and maintain a healthy weight while eating the foods we love?” The California Wine Country Diet will take you on a delightful tour of wine country restaurants and vineyards as you practice the art of “conscious indulgence.” This book is available from the publisher or Amazon.
How you choose to live a healthier life will be unique to you. Don’t make it just another item on your to-do list. Let it be part of a full, pleasurable life where your choices are good for you, those around you, and the planet. I hope I can help make your journey a little easier, as well as more enjoyable.
All my best wishes to you,
